Tracy C. Lewis is the founder of Lewis & Associates, an award-winning, Black woman-owned consulting firm dedicated to helping nonprofits, small businesses, governments, and philanthropic organizations create lasting impact. With 18 years of experience in community and economic development, Tracy brings clarity, strategy, and heart to every project she touches.

From developing a Green Business Zone on Detroit’s East Side, to revitalizing commercial corridors in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood, to supporting small business ecosystems in St. Louis and Richmond, Tracy’s work is rooted in purpose and driven by results.

Armed with a B.A. in Sociology and a Master of Public Administration with a certificate in Community Development, Tracy knows how to translate big-picture ideas into actionable strategies. Her superpower? Listening deeply and designing solutions that are community-centered and equity-driven. As a consultant of color, she brings lived experience and cultural competence to every table, building authentic connections with the communities she serves.

When she’s not facilitating a strategic planning session or managing a multi-partner initiative, you’ll find Tracy at home in Dallas, Texas, where she lives with her partner, daughter, and two rambunctious cats. She loves cooking soul-warming meals, taking long walks in nature, and—when the mood strikes—watching apocalyptic zombie movies (because even chaos needs a plan).
